In 2004, Bill Carvalho, our founder, encountered an exhibit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium that revealed the dire state of our oceans. Profoundly impacted by this experience, Bill shifted the focus of his seafood business to create a company driven by compassion for marine life. Wild Planet was born out of a deep respect for the ocean and is dedicated to reshaping the industry to safeguard this precious resource for future generations.

• Delicious Tuna Steaks: Our Wild Skipjack and Albacore Tuna steaks are meticulously hand-cut and hand-packed, then cooked only once with a hint of sea salt to preserve their natural juices and pure flavor. We do not add water, broths, or fillers, so there's no need to drain the can.

• Convenience and Quality: With a handy pull tab, you can easily enjoy our tuna at home or on the go, whether as a tasty snack or a nutritious lunch. Our tuna steaks are perfect for seafood recipes or can enhance any tuna sandwich.

• Excellent Protein Source: Our Wild Albacore Tuna provides up to 2 grams of clean protein per 3 ounces, along with up to 705 mg of DHA and EPA Omega-3s. Wild Planet tuna is Non-GMO verified, gluten-free, and Kosher Pareve.

• Naturally Low in Mercury: By using the 100% pole-and-line fishing method, we target smaller, migratory tuna that naturally have lower mercury levels compared to conventional methods that catch larger, older tuna with higher mercury content.

• Sustainably Sourced Wild-Caught Tuna: We adhere to the highest standards of sustainability in our tuna fishing practices. Our tuna is 100% pole-and-line caught, which prevents bycatch (the capture of non-target species) and ensures dolphin and turtle safety.
